SFILY encourages students to develop and practice building block skills such as advocacy, engagement, and leadership.
We are inviting any current middle schooler in the 2022-23 school year to attend a FREE leadership program at Lick-Wilmerding High School (755 Ocean Ave) from June 6 to June 10th 10:00am-2:00pm.
Students are expected to show up for every session.
The SFILY Summer 2022 Leadership Program is an opportunity for students to gain the skills and confidence to grow as leaders by participating in identity, social-emotional, and public speaking learning. We always accommodate our students that want some support from a high school mentor, whether that be just asking questions about high school or getting academic and social support. We aspire to create a safe, fun, and most importantly, comfortable space for growth!
Students will:
- Learn about SF civic issues
- Learn how to articulate identity and experiences to a group of people
- Work closely with and learn from high school mentors
- Practice collective leadership and problem solving with other middle schoolers
Application closes on May 1st at 11:59PM. Only 60 spots are available.
